Thank you for posting all of these great Reagan quotes and in many ways I wish Reagan was still alive to slap this fool down so hard for misquoting him and mishandling our economy. He would have been so angry right now at the system.
Regretfully there are some professions in the US that make it very hard not to join a Union, teachers, police, firefighters even if someone wants to join these professions for the importance of these professions not for the money. I know they cannot deny a person a job because of associations but why can they deny someone a job because they don't want to associate with certain groups.
And you must be very limited in your understanding of the written word because there was no denial of slavery in that post except for within your own imagination.
1. I gave you the origin of the word Slave
2. I informed you that slavery was not limited to white owners in the South or wholly a product of the American South
3 Another piece of information America was not the only purchaser of slaves during that period and while we had a 5-10% death toll during the trip across the ocean, Middle Eastern Slave traders had a
nearly 90% death toll during transportation. As you told someone else Google it if you want to know more.
4. Even first hand reports from that period are contradictory in regards of slave treatment.
5. History has also shown that there were very rich and affluent former slaves after the civil war and also very affluent Northern Blacks before it as well.
6. Many of the Major historic black universities started around the time of the civil war.
These are all pieces of historical fact that you are trying to ignore to fit within your view point the idea that blacks have always had it hard.
7. Many of the successful blacks within society right now that don't agree with this victim-hood mentality are often referred to as sell outs. How can you ever expect to catch up if you vilify the successes within the community?
Free for only about 50 years, wow your as bad as the guy in the video concerning history. Do you even know where the word slave comes from? Let me enlighten you it had nothing to do with Africa or blacks but the Slavic people of eastern Europe. African tribes owned slaves and some areas of Africa still have slaves. As far as making money, there were both white and black slave owners in the South. Your spouting this race argument without really having many facts to support it. Such as Jim Crow laws gained importance in the early 1900' and that before then there were black politicians in the reconstruction South.
Now as far as your catching up analogy goes, your also way off base there, it is the will of a group to catch up that matters more than the time.
Is he forgetting the Rwanda genocide because of the difference of tribes, is he forgetting that many African nations supported Hitler, is forgetting that many African tribes sold each other into slavery. He is very ignorant of the history of the world and is spouting racism of his own.
Talk about a logic mistakes, to say that early evidence that is of the same nature as what your are trying to say is not relevant is ignoring facts and trying to make the data suit your ends instead of being an objective scientist or journalist.
She has been answering and gave the proper example for where the cross hairs came from and that Palin wasn't the one who created the idea. Secondly, the Tea Party isn't a mob as a the classic mob would be viewed considering that they have not been using violence to get their goals accomplished have not tried to corrupt the process for their own aims. Third, they have been calling for a limiting of government and if you review the history the brown shirts actually supported Hitler on increasing the size of the government and that our own political leaders of the time supported many of the same ideas as Hitler, eugenics anyone.
The amount of pieces in this spot where Morgan used screwed logic is amazing and he continued to dodge the questions that were being asked of him all the while claiming Coulter was dodging him.
I use to teach ESL and I would say he would have been one of my problem children that you have to wonder about.
The one thing you can say is there is proper spelling and the rhyme structure follows a more classic leaning and with Murphy and some of the other comedians from that time frame is that they were trying to make fun of the stereotypes not foster them as so many are trying to do today. Take Will Smith for example he has actively come out against Ebonics and the like and most of the early rape from the late 70 early 80's while many of the messages were political in nature they were articulated in an understandable manner unlike much of what is being put out now.
