Siskel wasn't so great either... they are/were both pretentious and lame. I hope Ebert recovers his health, but I hope he has a chronic itch that he cannot manage to scratch for years to come.

I'd return the favor to Roger and call him an inane, fat f*ck, douchebag, jagoff... but that would be an insult to inane, fat f*ck, douchebag, jagoffs.

But, I hope he keeps it up. Remember how well the "George W. Bush is teh stoopid" tactic worked?

I still prefer the Coleman "Zenda" to the later version featuring Stewart Granger.

His whole Hero Sequence in the middle of the first Superman film is still eye catching, fun, and thrilling.

And not "all that stuff".

The cheesy comedy and tongue-in-cheek humor is fine... it's one of the tricky elements Donner got right in the first film... but, I won't be crushed if isn't in a Superman film these days.

And you are SO right about Lois... she's a broad, a dame! Maybe not even hotsy-totsy, but she's got moxie, brains, and spunk. Lois Lane is brassy and bold and knows how to get a story.

As much as folks complained about Margot Kidder, she was a GREAT Lois... all the right attitude!

The least of it's problems is the human/Kryptonian kid... the major problem is that Superman (in Singer's film) is a super-stalker. He's uber-creepy.

That, and the eye-candy scene where the bullet gets crushed by Superman's eye was silly (and not in a good way) and utterly lame.

You made a mistake, Bryan. I'll correct your statement below:

"A misinterpretation and misrepresentation of O'Keefe's focus and conduct leads ACORN water-carriers to the conclusion that O'Keefe (and anyone to the right of Che and Mao) is against black people. Slander and libel."

Fixed it! You're welcome.

Don't really have a dog in this fight... I happen to really dislike folks who "shoot down" arguments with the "winning" tactic that they merely typed something wrong.

Good faith folks...and the benefit of the doubt. Otherwise, that behavior is a bunch of jackassary.
