Big Hollywood : Trailer Talk: 'The Legend of Kaspar Hauser' Lets Bush-Loving Gallo Throw Us Another Curve Ball

Haha. I suppose taken out of context it can be seen as basic porn, but when you watch the film and see it in context it doesn't feel that way at all. I would recommend the film. I've never seen a film where Sevigny quite matched her...um...genuineness in Bunny....

Big Hollywood : Gibson's Upcoming 'Vacation' a Return to Action Form

Thank you for correcting the editing mistakes in my article. I hope it made you feel smart:) Anyway, as for a retort: I'm defending Gibson not because he's a right winger (in some respects he is and, in others, he is not). I'm defending him because the context of each situation he found himself in was ignored by the MSM because they need to cut every story down to a headline to grab audiences. "Producers" does not refer to Gibson. He is one of many producers at Icon that produced "Braveheart" and "Apocalypto." And no one is defending him because he isn't Polanski, it is just a blatant example of the bias in the media. Also, "Plan Your Getaway" just comes with a certain B- movie action tone that was celebrated in the 90s. And clearly some things are said in a general sense (like the Moore/ Polanski comment).

Big Hollywood : 'Essential Killing' Review: A Republican Plays a Jihadist!?

I agree about the basic flaw of the film. Also, I used Hollywood as a generic term to describe filmakers and the current mentality today which seems to have pissed some lower IQ people off in the comments below. But, also, this film is not completely seperated from what is the traditional Hollywood system: Vincent Gallo is a pretty decently known actor and Jack Nicholson has been praising this as the best film of the year. But, clearly, Hollywood was being used as a generic term in order to capture the current mentality of today's filmakers. But, we seem to agree about the central flaw of the film which isn't even political. -Z. Leeman

Well, what seems to be missing in today's writing is the grey areas of life. We inhabit a literary world of Twilight, Harry Potter, Rapp, Ryan, etc. Sure, some of these novels give us some notion of the complexities of violence and the political landscape and just plain human flaws, but other writers don't dwell there. They'd rather keep the story simple and easily digestable for readers. The complexities of Hunter's novels brings us back to a time when Heminway, Fitzgerald, etc. ruled the literary landscape. Hunter just happens to do it in what is deemed genre fiction. -Z.
Good teaser. Typical they would reject it. Hopefully Fox News comes to the rescue. I absolutely loved Atlas Shrugged even though many on the right have rejected the film because of its"hamminess." I truly hope to see this trilogy completed.

I've been suprised at how much I like these films. They keep banging them out and they are always a nice suprise in my opinion.
Big Hollywood : Trailer Talk: James Franco's 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes'

Looks like it had a cool "science gone too far" theme, but the trailer didn't make it look like anything more than just another summer blockbuster from LiberalWood.
Big Hollywood : Box Office: How Did 'Atlas Shrugged' Really Do?

The film is budgeted at $10 million and made $1.7 million on one weekend with absolutely no mainstream marketing. I'd say that's an amazing thing for a film to pull off. Of course mainstream critics are going to hate Atlas Shrugged and be cynical about it's success. The media tried doing the same thing when the Tea Party was first gaining recognition. But, it desn't matter. Success is success no matter what the lame stream media says about it. Atlas Shrugged: Part 1 and the Tea Party are two prime examples of this.
