But he was not transparant in the beginning. He decieved many into believing he was himself Christian. And, there were many who wished to be decieved. Those who would trade freedom for security shall end up with neither. By the time the organized church woke up, it was too late. The swastika was already displayed in the church, and they had lost the moral authority to unmask the monster.

There are "Christians" who do not understand what Paul taught. Christ followers are grafted onto an ancient root, the Isrealites who have a special relationship with God, who chose them himself. He will never alter his covenant with them, because of his eternal nature. We are adopted into the covenant, because our Savior made the sacrifice that makes us acceptable to the Father. Anyone who touches the Jew touches the apple of His eye, and does not seek to please Him.

From the F.W. Star Telegram article, cited above:
"Federal officials have reportedly said that states that want more troops may have them, as long as they pick up the tab for the additions.

Perry noted in his letter to Obama that the Texas Legislature has already dedicated more than $200 million in recent years to border security. He also repeated his request for 1,000 Guard troops.

"This is a federal responsibility, and it shouldn't fall on the backs of Texans to pick up the tab and responsibility for security on the border," Cesinger said. "We don't think it's unreasonable to ask the federal government to pay for something that's their responsibility in the first place."

Even Bill White, Dem. candidate for govenor, disapproves:
"Immigration policy and border security are responsibilities of the federal government, and they're failing us," said Katy Bacon, a spokeswoman for White. "The National Guard troops are not an adequate or long-term solution -- they're only a Band-Aid."

Texas Republicans want more National Guard troops assigned to border
Dave Montgomery and Anna M. Tinsley, dmontgomery@star-telegram.com,

The anti-American actions of La Raza Unida have not been adequately reported on for decades. We are about to reap very bitter fruit from the political games that have played out in our border states. True HIspanic Americans have been terrorized into being quiet, and both parties have been silenced, afraid to alienate such a large demographic. This will only get uglier.

Arizona rightly is demanding that the Feds do their constitutional job, but Texas has the most violence directly across the border.
Governor Perry is demanding a chance to meet Obama while he is here fund raising.
The following article appeared in the Fort Worth Star Telegram Sunday.

"Obama's administration has announced that it will send 1,200 Guard troops to the four states bordering Mexico beginning next Sunday. Texas, which has more than 60 percent of the 2,000-mile U.S.-Mexico border, will get 20 percent of the allocation, or 250 troops. The Texas allocation equates to one troop for every five miles of the state's border with Mexico...
"Under President George W. Bush, 6,000 Guard troops were deployed in all four border states to help the Border Patrol during ramped-up efforts to combat illegal immigration from 2006 to 2008. Known as Operation Jump Start, the deployment included 3,000 Guard personnel assigned to Texas, virtually all from units in the Lone Star State."

I am amazed at what a university education does to most intelligent people. Once obtained, their ear becomes so attuned to the dulcet tones of standard English required of news anchors that any other speech pattern automatically is dismissed as ignorant. Content matters not. Colorful colloquialisms grate on the ear so severely that common truth is dismissed out of hand. The superiority of this "upper crust" will never think of a non-member as deserving of being heard.

Only certain other speech patterns come close to being acceptable. Any Northeast accent (think JFK, Boston) can be tolerated. But if it is Southern, or Midwestern, that will immediately remove all possible intelligent content from consideration.

Is there a psychological explanation for this visceral response? Is it a rejection of personal roots thought to be unacceptable to peers, requiring denial? What educated fools!

Every decision humans make is either a choice for or against life. If we value human life, we will affirm it every time, no matter how inconvenient.
Our culture does not properly understand the value of children. How sad, that family reunions have fewer children than adults. We are a culture that does not even replace ourselves. How can we thrive into the future? Children are the only heritage that matter, yet we are consumed with acquiring wealth, to live extravagant, empty lives. Children are a financial burden, they will limit our economic freedom. What a lie we have come to believe! Ask your grandparents what they value most about their lives!

In Leviticus, the people were also commanded to love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus expanded that to say we should love our enemies. As individuals, not as governments! He also said that the whole law could be summed up into Love God, and love your neighbor as yourself.

How humans live in this world together always creates paradox. When we insist that society (government) must be made moral, so that everyone must be "equal," such power means that individuals are crushed. The freedom that God gives to us creates a responsibility to make moral judgments for ourselves as we go through life. These are individual rights and responsibilities, for we are answerable to God for our own actions. We can never say that the government bears these responsibilities, they belong to each one of us.

Alex,
The Jewish scriptures report the commands of God to his people in that time, and their response in obedience or rebellion. When they obeyed, they prospered, and when they failed, first God showed mercy, then there was consequence. The story is long, and there was war with stronger tribes who would have annihilated this homeless band. Their triumph when they obeyed spoke of their God's might, as a witness to war-like people. Many chose to believe in this powerful new monotheism, and give up their child sacrifice and other "civilized" practices which God of these people found abominable.

But the commands are clearly for those people in that time. The Koran, in contrast, frames the commands to kill others as a continuing requirement, as long as they fail to come to "true belief." Conversion at the point of the spear, or gun, does not allow for man's free will. The Jewish/Christian God is dangerous, because he allows freedom of conscience, from which liberty has come. Remove knowledge of God and his requirements, and liberty becomes license.

Please do not equate our society with the sharia "civilization" they would impose on us!
When abuse surfaces, it is universally condemned in our civilized society. When a wife is beaten there, it is assumed she "deserved it," and has no recourse to law, or even her own family. Do you think there are any women's shelters there?
