You could go even further and saying he's come a long way from being the fat kid from The Amanda Show (which was far better than Drake and Josh, I have to say)

Why did Fringe get moved to Thursday? Anyone know? Also, I was really hoping Dollhouse would be moved out of its Friday night deathslot. Guess not.

I'm going to assume you meant to post this under the original poster and not myself. Either way though... you're the dipshit here. You don't go around calling people "retards". You don't put an exclamation point at the end of each sentence either. Oh and suggesting that someone go see Star Trek being used as an insult? You either are a Star Wars nerd afraid to admit that this new Star Trek film is the best Star Trek or Star Wars film in a few decades or you are a Trekkie/Trekker who is desperately trying to hold on to the past. Go troll somewhere else. Coherent and well thought out comments are one of the cornerstones of this great site. Don't ruin that.

Why would they be shooting in so many countries? Gotham is entirely shot in Chicago and any Batman film almost -has- to be shot 75-80% there. I mean, yeah the first two films had quite a bit of Asia in them but if they are scouting Canada and 4 other countries, it cannot possibly be Batman 3. Oh. And let's look at the cast. Ken Watanabe died in Batman Begins. Michael Caine has said repeatedly that his character has a very small role and would require only a day or two of shooting (Alfred is in probably 40-50% of TDK for comparison). Just those two right there make it insane to think that this is Batman 3. Not to mention having two actors commanding somewhere in the $20 million range isn't financially feasible especially given that much of the hype surrounding TDK and much of the reason it had such a huge opening weekend was because of Ledger's death. They don't have that this time around. Batman 3 will be huge but I don't think it could possibly top TDK financially. So can we please stop saying this is Batman 3? It isn't. Nolan is allowed to film other things. His two best movies, in my opinion, weren't even Batman. They were Memento and the movie he filmed between Batman Begins and TDK - The Prestige. EDIT: Forgot to point out that with the cast, why bring in so many more actors? Leo could play the villain, sure. But Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard, Tom Hardy, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt? There's no need for them. You already have Gary Oldman, you already have Richard Alpert as the mayor, you already have Morgan Freeman. Combining this cast with the cast from TDK would put the budgets for salaries alone above $100 million. That isn't exactly something movie execs would want.

Glad to see Bettany getting a starring role. He's a great actor who seems destined to act in the shadows of stars just because he isn't a big enough name to hold a movie at the box office. The movie looks great, btw. I'll have to keep an eye out for a release near me.

In the book, I am pretty sure several creatures are called "fell beasts" by various characters (mostly Gandalf, though) throughout the 1000 or so pages. I am pretty sure the Wargs are called that sometime during Two Towers and I think one of the dwarves called the spiders in Mirkwood in The Hobbit fell beasts as well.

Ok. Bad news. http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2008/04/25/28747-... In that interview, Del Toro says: "The only thing I will be pushing for more in these films that the other three are full animatronics and animatronic creatures enhanced with CGI, as opposed to CGI creatures themselves. We really want to take the state-of-the-art animatronics and take a leap ten years into the future with the technology we will develop for the creatures in the movie. We have every intention to do for animatronics and special effects what the other films did for virtual reality." So... it doesn't look good for the less practical effects. =\\

With Jackson producing this film and owning one of the top Special Effects houses in the world (WETA Digital), I think we can be pretty certain that Smaug will be CG. I mean, look at how good of a job WETA did with the Nazgul's flying steeds (I don't remember if they have a proper name or not). I think Jackson will demand that they use WETA as much as possible because that is part of what made LoTR so breath taking. Of course, Del Toro wants Pearlman (of course) to play Smaug. I think his voice would be perfect but I hope Del Toro doesn't want him in a suit. Of course, Pearlman apparently no longer wants to do prosthetics so maybe we will luck out.

/Film : LOL: Todd McFarlane Wants Leonardo DiCaprio To Topline New Spawn Film

As much as I love Keith David (And I do love his work. Both live action and voice work), I think he's too old to play Spawn now. Maybe ten years ago he may have been able to pull it off. But even then, I think 43 years old would be a little much for the guy playing Spawn. Note: I've seen the first film, a few episodes of the cartoon, and read one or two comics. So maybe the character is older than I am thinking, though I doubt it.

Ok, out of curiosity, will it be showing the longer version on -all- IMAX screens? Including the crappy ones that aren't really IMAX? The closest real IMAX screen to me is about an hour away but there is one at an AMC by me about 5 minutes away. Too bad he didn't say how much longer the scenes are. Probably better off seeing it on a normal screen at the MJR 5 minutes in the other direction for $4 on Saturday morning.

I was really wondering if that was his real penis in that picture. Great movie either way, though. The Asian from Pineapple Express and Role Models was great. I'm actually excited to see if the Airbender trailer actually looks good or looks as bad as the Dragonball and Street Fighter trailers did. (Or the G.I. Joe trailer for that matter) And, in addition to Ray Park, Heroes has also added Robert Knepper of Prison Break (As T-Bag) fame. I'm more interested in him than Ray Park though having Ray Park does ensure some amazing fight scenes in the fourth season.
