RIP Brave Teachers, especially Victoria Soto who saved her whole class by hiding them in cabinets and closets. When the shooter came in, she claimed her class was at the gym. He shot her and moved on.

And way to go resident who lived near the crash site and heard the crash but heard no sirens, didn't investigate and didn't call the police. Bravo. Hopefully the below freezing temperatures helped slow the extent of her injuries as she lay there for 8 hours until a driver found the wreck in the morning.

You can't rename Belcourt Castle... how pretentious. Call it what you want, but we will all still call it Belcourt Castle. Guess you make a lot of profit when your products are all essentially discarded recyclables.

No cases like these need to be more specific. The "underage" girl could've been 17. They could've been in the same grade at school. Unfortunately thanks to umbrella terminology such as "minor" or "adult" some teenage boys end up labeled as sex offenders when they were really just trying to date a girl close to their own age.

I'm not saying that's definitely what happened here, I'm saying it needs to be considered since they were not specific.

I'm sick of seeing this billed as a random attack. Everyone ASSUMES there was no motive because the victim was a 42 year old white woman walking her dog in fifth ward. For all we know she knew her attacker. For all we know she owed her three hundred bucks or slept with her scummy older boyfriend....all sorts of potential scenarios here. Very rare that people get beat up for no reason. The other occupants of the car apprehended the "Hispanic" girl according to the article on Patch. Also she very well may not be Hispanic. Wouldn't a Filipina or a Mixed teenage girl potentially fall into this same hair-skin-eyes category?

This makes no sense really. You can't miss a turn and end up submerged in the shipyard....unless you were already driving around the shipyard itself at night. In which case why? Isn't there a 24 hour security guard sitting in the booth generally and aren't the gates generally locked?
