I too am a practicing Catholic. I remember a number of Leftist nuns and Bishops individually supporting Obamacare. The Church's position was much more cautious, and opposed to the form it actually took. I agree with you that the Church lefties were way too gullible by thinking government health care might be the answer. I disagree with you that the Church should have opposed on the grounds of lack of constitutionality. Their concern does not and should not lie there. Their concern lies in the consistency of public policy with the freedom to worship within the precepts of the church. I think we both agree on this: I hope that this wakes the Church Lefties up to the true evil that lurks on the Left. Pax.
Not true. I was there. I paid attention. Catholic Command actually issued a statement identifying abortion as THE primary issue over all other so-called social justice issues. Catholics voted for O regardless of the statement. The Obama bumper stickers at Mass drove me crazy. The Liberal Bishops are NOT Catholic Command. They simply made it easy to vote for soft, fuzzy, dreamy stuff that eventually forced men and women of faith to do and pay for things they find abhorrent. Catholic Command (not a person, the REAL Catholic Command) remains steadfast in the opposition to the Left's assault on unborn children. Nothing trumps life.

Good advice. I have three daughters. They agree with my assertion that the most irresistible feature a young woman might possess is simply not being 'easy.' The unobtainable is irresistible. They have spines enough to tell me different if this were not the case....and they have in many other instances.
