It is sad that many of the kids who go to our universities become our country's leaders (I give you that Harvard educated, community organizer as an example) The fact that so many of these students are DEMANDING public funding for their education demonstrates the entrenched socialist mindset of our education system. I can tell you that if universities had been operating under a capitalist system, costs would be nowhere near where they are today. I can also tell you that a good plumber or electrician has more to contribute to my quality of life than a PhD in ethnic diversity. Not only that, they're the ones who actually generate the income to provide the taxes to fund those ethnic diversity programs these kids are DEMANDING that we pay for. Their Imam even got his picture in our local paper attending an interfaith meeting with other church leaders. One young man, whose parents were instrumental in establishing a mosque in our small community, drove to Seattle and shot several people at a Jewish center. Soon after 9/11, the imam from their mosque had an informational session designed to allay any fears about Islam. I was astounded when, near the end of his speech, he suggested that 9/11 may have been God's will. I don't doubt that the Ft. Hood shooter and the person who shot the folks in Seattle are both troubled individuals. But I've got to wonder what kinds of anti-semitic, anti-infidel sentiments are being piped into their troubled minds. I recently got a look at the mosque in our area while driving by and couldn't figure out why it looked so different from other spiritual establishments.
