#1, I've talked to some very nice designers by being a little bit of a creepy fangirl, and in a couple of cases, have made a good friend. As someone who makes the random odd thing, it makes my day when someone likes my stuff enough to send a NC or IM to let me know. It's really sweet. That being said I know there are people who don't have as clear an idea of social boundaries and who think that a couple of cordial exchanges means you're BFFs now, and it's situations like that where our social graces come into play, tact, manners and all that.
