More importantly, I do not believe that nationalism and ethnopluralism are mutually exclusive. You can have a nationalist identity that isn't rooted in a formal state with borders, but simply a nation rooted in blood.
And to be fair, the BNP didn't collapse due to its ethnonationist policies. I followed the party very closely during its heyday in 2009-2010. Ethnonationalism was helping the party grow. Many people seemed to enjoy the speeches by Arthur Kemp and Jonathon Bowden. What killed the party was Nick Griffin's dishonest and corruption. Pure and simple.
Although I do agree that in the long run, ethnonationalism will not be politically viable when the native British become a minority in their own lands due to low native birthrates and high immigration birth rates.

Of course they could be right, but I would counter that ethnonationalism has the chance towards being respectable if they remain consistent on who's really ethnically English/Irish/Welsh/Scottish and don't back down when the issue of gurkhas or patriotic minorities are brought up. Having a record clear of Holocaust Denial and Nazism also helps, which is why I think Britain First has a reasonable shot at taking up the ethnonationalist banner that Nick Griffin tossed away.

At any rate, I'll do my part to help Ron tomorrow, even if I don't want to sit down and listen to people speak and argue over party platforms. It's only fair, after sitting in the sidelines and watching you guys work towards getting the BNP elected for the last 2 years.

Unfortunately, I feel the usage of term is necessary, because the very concept of nation has been rewritten in the West to mean a physical State, rather than an organic community/tribe with shared blood memory. Whilst allowing civic and cultural nationalists to hijack the very meaning of nationalism is a victory for them, at the same time, we as a people have allowed the misuse of term nation to go on for a decades. Having to call ourselves ethnonationalist is the only way we can be clear that we represent true historic nationalism.
