When I first read about this story, without knowing the details, the words "Posse Comitatus" flashed in my head. And BINGO! I was right, use of the military in any way shape or form for law enforcement purposes without an executive order from the President is a violation of Posse Comitatus. I would like to know who exactly authorized and orchestrated the MPs in both of these events and if it does, in fact, trace back to the White House.

Thomas Jefferson said regarding the armed citizen: "A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks."

The purpose and intent of the Second Amendment is not to ensure that people have the tools to shoot squirrels and ducks. Reading through the writings of the Founding Fathers, it becomes absolutely clear that they wanted the citizens to be armed with military style weaponry. So, this so-called "assault weapons ban" runs directly contrary to the intention of the Second Amendment. The Founders wanted every citizen armed and the government to understand that its place was to serve the people or else.

The original wording of the Second Amendment: "The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; a well armed, and well regulated militia being the best security of a free country: but no person religiously scrupulous of bearing arms, shall be compelled to render military service in person."

So, all Congress has to do it threaten to pass laws that blatantly violate the Bills of Attainer and ex-post facto laws prohibited by Article 1 of the Constitution and they can intimidate certain segments of the American population? Have these clowns in DC read anything about the American revolution? This kind of nonsense is why were declared independence from King Charles III.

- For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent: (the 90% tax law to go after AIG)
- For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury: (Bill of Attainder)
