any backlash would be unfortunate and not helpful. I believe that the fact that there have been no more acts of some small or large terrorism over past years had also to do with a cooperation of Am. Moslems with the authorities.

I don't believe in virtues of a speedy legislative process. The system worked precisely thanks to its slowness and that was the intent of the Founding Fathers.
Then again, if the gov. manages everything already and people just can't wait to be cuddled to its bosom (titty), why bother with legislative process at all. Why not just RULE buy decrees.
But remember: a gov. that gives you everything can (and will) take everything away.

I don't say that Obama is unpatriotic and doesn't mean well (saying that: the road to hell is paved with good intentions) I just say that he doesn’t have an American instincts. That's why he is not able to appeal to those values of an American character, dating back to before Am. Revolution, that made this country great. Roosevelt made a lot of moves in a similar direction while dealing with crisis, but he had those instincts and that was the mitigating influence in the end.
Maybe one has to also remember that Obama is a keen autobiographer - two memoirs, that's got to be some record in a history of writing. Plus a contract for another one, after leaving the office, has been already signed...Psychologists could elaborate more on this.

as to Jewish question, why do you always have to elbow yourself in....it get tiresom and refelcts badly on you.
my family saved and helped to save 5 Jewish families. my Great Grandparents and grandparents risked lives other 2 small kids, one of whom was my Mother; and probably also lives of their niegbours. After the war my Grandparents were receiving letters from Israel inviting them to visit. My Granfather had to ask them to stop writting because he just get out of a communist jail and at that time Israel turned pro US.
