America is the land of pink slime. Back in the day it used to be called dog food, but as Americans we share the love and eat what our dogs eat.

Buying American is no guarantee of wholesomeness, just a better chance that there will be less contamination depending on FDA inspection schedules.

"Reading" the label before you buy is more important. If the label (as many made in China dog treats say) says to wash and sanitize your hands after handling the treats--"there is something WRONG with the treats."

kinder eggs used to be legal here. I bought them for my kid, and one year they disappeared. I never knew why until now.

I can't believe they were banned over "non-nutritive"objects embedded in the middle of the (hollow!) egg. There's lots of food in the US that isn't nutritive--starting with pink slime and meat glue. All FDA approved, of course.

why is it always the people with "too" much money who want to tear down the system? I think we should ship them to Somalia and leave them there to experience real anarchy--without daddy's money.

...so, the stabbed guy drives off in his car. Runs away from it...dropping the knife immediately (near the "drivers" door), "then" dropping the scabbard a little further, then collapses close to an alley.

Martha Stewart Living, like Macy's and JC Penney's are all dinosaurs. Tired product, tired stores. Bad customer service. Expensive prices. Either downscale or upscale. Maintaining a middle ground doesn't work anymore.
