Not my words Bernard but those of Political Commentator Alex Kane.

I won’t be voting on May 22 because I don’t believe my vote makes a difference and I’m not prepared anymore to endorse the travesty that passes itself off as government here. My right. My choice.

It's 59 schemes. I assume there is a lot of shops in each scheme.

The NILT says 14% would find UI almost impossible to accept UI and 30% would not like it but could live with it.
I think it is very safe to say those people would vote no.
-----------
The Electorate is approx 1.21 million.
The number of NO voters is 44% that = 532400
If the turnout is 85% the winning line is 514251 (1028500/2+1)
That means that the YES vote can not win because the undecided will provide the bulk of the abstaining voters.
Those that are definitely against will vote NO and even if every single one of the undecided voted YES. (Which is impossible) there still would not be enough votes.
If the turnout is any lower then the problem for the YES camp increases.
If the turnout is higher, say 90% then the NO Vote need to pick up just 12100 votes from the 677600 YES and undecided voters to get over the line.
Basically it is impossible.

- not enough to ensure the Union survives is it ?

To follow your line then there is not much chance of maintaining the Union at a vote is there ?

What the survey shows from this is that there is a very real chance of the UI vote succeeding.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The problem for anyone wanting a UI is that the default position is to remain in the union. So to change the status quo, there needs to be more nationalists.
Now unless there are 100's of thousands of people who want a United Ireland but are reluctant to describe themselves as Nationalists OR 100's of Thousands who want a UI but mysteriously don't show up in any the polls OR 100's of thousands who want UI but refuse to vote for a Nationalist party, then we can safely say there is no demand for a UI.

The British Government subvention is £10.9 billion this year. To say they are withdrawing all of that, you would need to produce evidence.

See Columbine,
------------
If more people had been in possession of guns at Columbine, would the psychos have been able to kill so many? Would they have been at ease walking around executing children if they knew that every time they opened a door they could be met by a hail of gunfire?
Guns are not the problem, nutters are.

For once I agree with you. If you were in a school and someone came in and started murdering people. Would you rather have a gun to defend yourself or die and watch your children die?
All criminals have guns or easy access to them.

Not that it will make any difference, but the question was..........
: Do you think of yourself as a unionist, a nationalist or neither?
In the 18-24 Group it was 22%
In the 25-34 Group it was 15%.. NILT 2012
----------
In 2010 it was 13% and 25%
----------
In 2008 it was 14% and 21%
---------
In 2000 it was 20% and 18%
---------
I think the sample size they use is around 1200 which would have a margin of error of + or - 4% and when split into sub groups that margin would rise, but it is pretty clear that there is no great swell of nationalists in the younger generation.

GDP per capita ppp compares wealth per person corrected for the cost of goods.
--------------------
Still struggling with GDP Per Capita I see.
GDP PER CAPITA IS NOT A MEASURE OF PERSONAL WEALTH. http://www.eupedia.com/forum/threads/24122-Why-GD...
There are hundreds of links but this one is pretty simple.
