I'm sure that Ben Pearlman is a quality individual. And I'm confident that the other commissioners, recognizing the inevitable flak that they would take once their decision was announced, still felt they were doing the right thing. But I don't think that the majority of citizens of Boulder County feel good about this.

I'd like to see a regulation that an elected official can't be employed by the county for at least two years after the end of their term.
