Calling the police on this one? Are you kidding?

As a former junior and senior high school teacher, what I would've done is:
1) make the student clean it up
2) have student write 200 times "I shall not write on school property" and have her parents sign it. And the parents always appreciated that I involved them.

That always worked and there was rarely a need to involve the principal's office. The only times police were called in our school was when real criminal activity was taking place such as muggings, assaults and drug sales. The teacher in this case needs to go to a special class on "basic classroom leadership skills."

I've been a frequent flier for many years only because my job requires it. Otherwise, I avoid flying, even for vacations or funerals, because of several factors including:
1) TSA idiotic security practices at the airport which treat travelers as inmates at county lock-up.
2) airlines' deteriorating services: no pillow, no blanket, no food, no enforcement of the idiots who bring more than 2 carry-on pieces that fill the overhead bins, extra charges for luggage, cancelled or delayed flights, overbooking and bumping passengers, and now the airlines are thinking of selling cell phone services on the flights. Just what a traveler needs- having to listen to loud passengers yack-yack on their cell phones at 32,000 feet.

No, I'm not afraid of Islamic terrorists- it's the airlines themselves that are killing their own product.

Sounds like the Scientologists are using basic relaxation techniques which has been proven useful for victms of physical trauma. The Scientologists claim of physically repairing the nervous system through relaxation techniques is unfounded and if they officially make such a claim should be charged with fraud. Yet, I wonder if the Haitian victims are receiving proper counseling services. Yes, religion plays an important part in healing the mind and spirit, but sound psychological treatements can also help in the healing process.

Islamic terrorists have been so emotionally moved by the planned closing of Gitmo and the release of its own terrorist comrades to Yemen, that they stepped up their killings in Afghanistan and are recruiting young men to blow up American planes. And back at the Islamic ranch... Iran is building nuclear weapons. And let's not forget the huge $14 trillion national debt ceiling that the Dems are raising. The WH says that Obama has made America strong? Right now, I need a real strong drink.
