I've spent 40 years in Federal contracting and have worked under a lot fo different managers , management philosophies and manager teams. I have been forced to suffer thru countless business oriented "leadership" training programs led by and preaching principles that are bereft of anything truly related to leadership. Whenever the situations warrants it, I tell these corporate bureucrats who believe controling a project budget is "leadership" that the most important job I have ever had was as a fire team leader in Vietnam at 23 years of age and the best leader I ever knew, ever, was my platoon sergeant who around his 18th yeas stood before a judge who gave him a choice - go to jail or to the Army. Sgt Adams chose the Big Green, learned his MOS in an Einstein-like manner, and taught me the only real leadership principles that should ever matter: Accomplish your mission while safeguarding the well being of your people. These are roll-up-your shirtsleeve fundamentals Hollywood will never appreciate and safeguarding your people - at the cost of your own life if necessary - is a belief system as alien to them as actual pride in your nation and standing with the man next to you when in harms way.
He hates millionairres unless they contribute heavily to his campaigns or serve as "bundlers" for him. Then they are good millionairres and often the corps they head up (GE) end up paying no taxes at all.
While I recall the disgust of a whole nation when Watergate and the Nixon Presidency ended in disgrace, I never thought I would live to the day when viewing him as a "choirboy" compared to ANYbody else in a top government position would actually be true. As sad as it truly makes me, I cannot say that Annie66 has gone too far in what she said. She is truthful and has not overstated her comparison.
What Newt is saying now about Obama's war on religion should not be a "Gingrich" campaign issue. It should be an American issue and one where there is no disagreement between Republican challengers or already elected legislators. The sooner we can unite as a party the sooner we can lay our ears back, bare our teeth and fight a battle as critical to America's survival as Bunker Hill, Gettysburg or Midway or D-Day.
We all love the legend of Robin Hood - a good man who robbed from the "rich" to give to the "poor". But have you ever wondered what would have happened had not good King Richard returned from his Crusade? Imagine it... Robin would continue to rob from the rich .. but in time, there would be no "rich" left to rob from - no money at all left to redistribute to anyone because everybody has been bled to death. Then Britain would be invaded by France, conquered and we would all be speaking French now.
So, where is OUR King Richard?
I thought it the utter irony in my life was to have both my original draft induction notice letter with Lyndon Johnson's signature and also a letter of gratitude for my military service (In Vietnam) signed by Richard Nixon. And I thought THEY were crooks!?!?!?!?
Might I ask Tim G to fly to CA, call a press conference and make this same statement from a table set up on the Red Carpet on Oscar night? Or maybe he can go to the NBA All Star game with Obama and give this "privleged" speech duing the game's half time - like Modaonna's performance at the SuperBowl. I am sure all the NBA thugs will all open their checkbooks and hand over big bucks to Tom G because they are so very priveldged.
How much you ask? Is that before or after being forced to buy medical insurance by Federal mandate?
Soon after his election, Obama was interviewed on TV and he wanted to encourage people to invest in the stock market because he saw the economy plunging... He then began giving one of his professorial type lectures to the camera. He said it was a great time to invest because of the excellent "profits-to-earnings ratios" available to investors. Profits to EARNING ratio? I learned on about the 3rd or 4th day of Econ 101 the method to compute a PRICE-to-Earnings ratio. I had suspected that Obama was a packaged product constructed like the Frankenstein monster and promoted by a complicit liberal press but this demonstration of his fundamental economic illiteracy was proof to me that this is preciesly what Obama is. Profits-to-earnings? Utter ignorance at the most basic level and this guy has the keys to the car!!!!!
Early last week, O'Reilly sent a crew to Venice Beach CA to interview locals on the Nov elections. One woman said she never heard of Mitt Romney. One man said he never heard of Rick Santorum and when he was asked his thoughts on the national debt, he said, "You mean America is in debt" The last clown was asked who he was likely to vote for and he said, "I'll stick with Obama again." The interviewer fthen asked, "Did you vote in 2008?" and the man answered "No".... These 3 morons are what we are dealing with .. brain dead, unaware, addicted to texting iPads and Dancing With ther Stars and no clue of anything relating to "who, what, when where and why."
