Talk about idiotic...Who says you have to be grammatically correct to get a point across. You are an idiot for trying to belittle someone. I can understand their point. Afterall, this is a blog, not a classroom. Basically they said, "if you do the crime, you should already know that you will have to do the time." Why take someone's life over something stupid? If in fact it is a majority disagreeing, then I do not think Obama would even be president.
He is entitled to his opinion just like you; that's why his articles are printed in the opinion section. Furthermore, everyone is assuming the president is jumping sides when he is in fact stating his opinion. I do not agree that all whites are racist nor do I think Obama made that statement because he is black, but why throw stones? Truth is, it is a big deal only because he is president and he is half black.
With Obama, I don't think it was a race thing, after all he is still half white. If the Harvard professor would have been white, Obama would have said the same thing, because it is true! Even if a white professor was in his own home and he was arrested after proving his identity, this still would have been stupid on the cop's part. It was however a race thing with the neighbors and the cop. Problem is, if the professor was white, one: he probably wouldn't have had the cops called on him in the first place, because neighbors would have identified him as a "neighbor", and two: the cop would have left his home after the professor had identified himself. You are right Ms. Dennis, we are surrounded by local idiots.

I think he is human like the rest of us, and he spoke from the heart. I would not say he is an expert, but I do think he cares about his country and is doing what he feels is right for us.
