advertising and marketing are legitimate pieces of the business world--to think otherwise is naive. you can reject it to a degree but it will always be there. often when you least expect it welcome to capitalism!

i don't know which post you are talking about. maybe it got deleted. maybe i read it but didn't read it in the same way you did. but if a post bothersome to you, then you did the smart thing and ignored it. i always wonder the same thing when this goes down on the blog. is everyone overreacting--the original poster and anybody who responds? and does everyone actually get some sort of high out of the virtual conflict, secretly or openly?

i wonder if it's less about real threats versus perceived threats. there are often news stories about winners of large cash prizes being hounded by people asking for "donations." regardless of whether such individuals meant me harm, i would still feel hounded and threatened by it.
