i'm having similar issues. i can never get past the iPhone shutting down - it won't reboot automatically. i know you're on a Touch, but it's driving me mad.

does anyone know why this is happening? someone posted that disconnecting the iPhone from the computer will launch a reboot, but that's not working either.

this hasn't worked for me. been trying all day at this. i'm going nuts.

also, my 'slide to open' is unresponsive on my iphone screen. thus i can't get the phone to do much of anything...any ideas why this happens?
