As far as I know, it's not the biggest one. According to Dutch Wikipedia, someone called Arno Woesthoff won the Fl. 10 Million top prize back in September 2001, and even got on the show before that and won Fl. 1 Million, making him one of the biggest game show history winner, if not THE biggest. Once converted, that's a total of €4,991,582.

Speechless too.
But I got spoiled at the $500,000 question by Adrian Woolfe, from 2WayTraffic. He happened to be watching the same stream as me, and knew all of what was coming up. Sigh.

Even spoiled, I was really hoping he got it right...

Never said the opposite. :)
Just reminding the official rules here, even if I think Regis mentioned that fact last night : after the disastrous AtA, I can remember him saying something like "You can't use another lifeline, so take your time, and guess right"

The celebrity is guaranted $25,000, make them work for the $50,000, give them 1 of the 4, and then guess.

> That's what it is. They're allowed to use only one of the four lifelines

For me, even if there was not a lot of questions, It was a great show ! Maybe, as I read somewhere (maybe on the Bored), play the celebrity-thing at the debut of the show, rather than at the end. Well, whatever if it doesn't take more than 5 minutes. because even if there was a lot of commercials before, the segment with Katy Perry took nearly 10 minutes.
And about Regis, I think he's fine with the clock, but that's not Meredith for sure !
But well, I think the clock should be doubled (30-60-90 seconds), or maybe include the Shot Clock used on Aussie Millionaire when it was live

And to compare, take a look on YouTube at some clips of Millionaire Hotseat in Australia. Eddie McGuire talks a lot to the contestant, even in the first five questions, with 15 seconds to answer. And it's really, really messy. More than it is with Regis :)

Actually, the clock starts only when all of the answers are shown on the screen and host/contestant's monitors

In the Primetime originals, my favourite moments, to narrow them down to three, were the Norm MacDonald solo Fastast Finger plus the last questions; the "I don't really need your help, I just wanna let you know that i'm gonna win the million dollars" moment of John Carpenter, the "N, A, FINAL ANSWER REGIS ! ... HE JUST MADE A MILLION DOLLARS !" moment of Bernie Cullen, and the $250.000 moment of Doug Van Gundy... 1, 2, 3 ... 4 : Oops ! :)

For Super Millionaire, I'd say the 2 first runs with Bob-O and Todd Kim

And about the Syndicated : Jeff Gross, Ogi Ogas, Nancy Christy (and that incredible 6-question run without any lifelines from $16.000 to the Million !)

French point of view, through.

Can't wait any more to watch Millionaire on ABC.com ! (I guess there's no live streaming...)
