Good idea, but lets show them who is really in charge of this country on April 15th. At my income level and my children being deductions, I don't pay hardly any taxes, but you people that make a good income, I can't for the life of me understand why any of you would pay your taxes. Are they going to audit and arrest millions of people? I would like to see them try.
rbaker, I dont think its turning into a playhouse, this is a controlled environment for everyone to express there views and see how many ppl are on the same side. It's not for fox or Glenn Beck to get us to do anything, it's up to each and every one of us to deal with this stuff in our own way. You either lead, follow, or get out of the way. This forum isn't here to elect a leader. If we are to have a 'leader' then it will come to us when the time is right.

Julia, you need to research your facts. the Bush tax cuts did not just favor "rich people" I make 30k a year and I enjoy tax cuts for my children from Bush's policies. I promise you this, everyones taxes will go up with Obama as president. Stop watching the news and research facts on the web. The last number I heard from Obama's administration was anyone making under 100,000 a year will get 'tax cuts.' Oh, and btw, he also said he wont tax any small businesses making under 250,000 a year, well, Julia if you run a small business making less than that, good luck to you, you won't make it.
If you are against lobbyists, please call Obama's office and tell him to stop putting them in his cabinet. Oh, and while youre doing that, remember that Obama worked for ACORN, a lobbyist group.... a corrupt one at that.
Elliot, would you please get a book on the Soviet Union and Hitler's Nazi Germany, tell us if all the citizens in those countries enjoyed their freedom. Because yes it can and IS being taken away right now: it is not the governments job to tell us what lightbulb to use or what color our cars can be. Obama proposed actual meters for our thermostats to tell us when we should turn of our lights. Your freedom is being taken away right in front of you.
Elliot, please read the Geneva Convention, and look up how they describe a person that attacks military targets without wearing a uniform or without having a proper military command structure. They are described as spies, and then please look up what are the proper procedures for punishing spies under the Geneva Convention, you will find that Gitmo is actually one of the most humane ways anyone has treated enemy combatants in the history of the world.

Listen, son, Obama's administration has already made a number of moves that are in direct contradiction of our founding documents. ie: no government entity can impede or change any contract that they were not a part of.
Enlighten us Elliot, name the countries in which a strong federal government used socialism and communism to succeed.

I have a strong feeling you will see record numbers of donations and therefore record spending for Democrats in the 2010 and 2012 elections. We have to fight the money with our voices and votes. I only hope we can outnumber the dead and the illegals. Push for picture ID and proof of citizenship to vote in your districts and states.
