"From time to time we have reviewed Roswell's garbage collection methods, and have considered automated garbage collection. I cannot remember the specific discussions, but we did not elect to adopt automated garbage collection based upon recommendations of staff. We have surveyed other cities services and costs and Roswell compares well."

Joey Ledford, the former Lane Ranger for the AJC, is a trusted source. He says "Believe it's a few more years before the Ga. 400 debt is paid off -- though the DOT could have refinanced it several years ago and made it go away by now. I think we should stick to the original deal, and the tollbooth should come down the day it's supposed to come down."

Do you propose a schedule for tearing it down, John?
