I have some big news that I want to share with everyone. This past Thursday I was offered the band director position at Tualatin High School. It was pretty late in the summer, but the fit for me as a band director and the potential was one that I could not pass up. The job is a half time position with two concert bands and one orchestra. It was hard to leave all the great friends and students at Centennail, but the potential for the band program is very low. There is a lot of change that is needed in the feeder program for the band program before the high school program will be great again. I hope that the changes get made that will increase the numbers of incoming freshmen. I had a great three years at CHS. I learned a ton and made some great friendships with kids and teachers. I will still be around though. I will continue to take the sports pictures through this year. I will still live in this part of town and still go to poker nights. I will be around CHS over the next week to help out with setting up the band room for this school year. Stop in for a few minutes if you get the chance!
