One, Church has always hit well early in the season. Two, Murphy is a hitter ahead of his time. I say that, not because of his batting average, but his at-bats. I have no access to pitches/at-bats but I have watched Murphy wear down pitchers with 10-11-12 pitch at-bats. That's how he hot the HR on Opening Day, etc. Finally, it would be a bit disrespectful to Murph and Church to suggest anything but their hard work is reason to believe in their success is real ... great blog!
