All sides are calling for school “restructuring,” though the architecture of the education edifice to be created from the ruins of the old is rarely defined. - 300-075 dumps

benleet - Poverty, Inequality, and the GDP: The Economy of Good Jobs

Olivier Giovannoni at Univ. of Texas' Inequality Project, paper #66, shows that the lower-earning 90% have lost "labor share" of national income. It's common knowledge that wages and productivity separated in the 1980s, but by how much? Giovannoni shows that Labor share of the lower 90% dropped by 15% of national income, about $1.8 trillion in 2012. Now $1.95 trillion, about $20,000 a year for all workers' families in this category. This finding is also shown in a paper by Levy Economics Institute, Destabilizing the Unstable Economy, 2016. Presently the Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation, Overview, 2015, shows that the top-earning 1% takes in 18.7% of national income, the lower-earning 55% take in 16.2%. The lower-earning 45% of workers, all with income under $25,000, and average income of below $11,000 a year, collectively take in less than 6% of national income ($794 billion of $13 trillion). Politically and economically this is a crisis. I think the People's Budget at EPI.org, the proposal of the Progressive Caucus, holds the best remedy, most practical for the time being of restoring a lost balance. Certainly greater labor rights would help.

hidicker - Part 4: QE Forever?

Thank you - this well thought out series has been an enjoyable Sunday morning read. The way I see it, which I think aligns with your view, is that we have come out of credit-fueled growth cycle and there is now a reluctance to accept that because productivity growth has been low for a number of years we need to adapt to a lower growth rate. Instead, fiscal and monetary policy continues to try to restore the economy to post gfc growth rates. Without solutions to problems you mention earlier (education spend, productive innovation, aging population, pop growth etc) then any solution to artificially raise growth is temporary only. We are not in an equilibrium that is below norm and needs a fiscal or monetary boast to restore us to higher productive state but instead in a changed world where growth will be low/negative for longer. Do you believe that the drug QE, once thought to be unorthodox, will be followed by a write-off of govt bonds bought through this process? This seems unorthodox now but as a coordinated response across central banks it changes the illusionary tempory status of UE to simple money supply growth without spooking use of ccy as a medium of exchange. Your comments earlier re the slow in velocity of money also suggest that it is not a certainty we would get strong inflationary pressures from such measures and, most importantly, it could help restore moderate interest rate level and therefore produce some of the benefits you mention such as weeding out the ineffective companies relying on long rates and restoring yield on savings.
