You should be able to accomplish this with Jet Pack (https://jetpack.mozillalabs.com/) in FireFox pretty easily actually, just tap into the FB API. You can also come close to it with https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/74...

It would absolutely need to be done on both sides for sure. That's the hardest part about implementation. But once that's done, how much better would it make the web? Think about searching a website (like Facebook, where it's authenticated search) from anywhere...

It would need a multi-directional attack, but is totally doable, and very cool. I use the Yubnub.org Firefox plugin to easily search specific sites (besides those I've bookmarked with a keyword) but it'd be cool to push the search field to that next level.

essentially then; the contextual 'category' of where a result is located (current browser window included of course), of something like Spotlight in OS X? could be a nice feature for some. cool concept.

Another free option is to use the CALDav support that charlieok mentioned above. It won't sync with Mobileme. But here's a trick I discovered. You can drag all of the appointments created on your Google calendar into your online calendars and they move! Sure, they're no longer on Google calendar, but now they're in iCal, Mobilme and on your iPhone. Basically, you're just using Google Calendar as a temporary repository. Not perfect, but it's free!

I did it just like charlieok : i added my google calendar (and several i'm suscribed to) to ical. It looks like mobile me only syncs you're main account with it's calendars. I look at a way to have my suscribed google calendars to appear as calendars within my main ical account, but they appear as new accounts. There still is a flaw there, i hope i will find a elegant way to fix that.

I was pretty excited recently to find www.neuvasync.com because it synced my Google Cal/Gmail (including 2-way contact sync!) Won't reduce a lot of headaches, but it saves me time for my setup...

I don't understand why you need busysync for that first step - now that Google has added CalDAV support for Google Calendar, can't you just add all your individual Google Calendars as type "CalDAV Account"? That's what I did and it seems to work great.
