lol, Dwan. Sadly I've known plenty of men who THINK they can get away with a prepackaged gift or worse, the \"gift\" that ends up benefiting them. That's my pet peeve...the gift for me that's actually for him.

I believe I am fairly easy to shop for. I feel if the person shopping for me knows me at all and pays any amount of attention then they would easily know simple things that I like. I'm sort of an open book kind of person I think. Plus women are so much easier to shop for than men, in my opinion. I agree with you about a man running in the store at the last minute and buying some prepackaged gift basket, lol. Who does that? Who wants that? Or better yet... what man gets away with that? Love your tips, I know plenty of men that need them. ;-)

It was the coolest thing ever watching my instructor do it in real time. It took her just a few minutes and the head shot she made over looked AMAZING, so much better than mine. She had awesome eye make up effects that put my little eyelashes and purple mascara to shame. I can't wait till I have more time to play with it.

Hi Beth. I barely made it through doing this but I want to put together a tutorial once I get better at it. I stumbled a lot and if I tried putting together a tute on it now, I'm afraid it'd be a disaster. I can tell you I did everything manually layer by layer. There's lots of layer blurring going on to smooth the skin tone and add the make up. I used the warp tool to plump the lips but you could use this tool to adjust a nose, eyes, ears, etc.

The mascara was the easiest. I found some eyelash brushes through a basic google search of \"photoshop eyelash brush\", picked one I liked the best, downloaded it and applied them to a layer. I used the warp and transformation tool to adjust the eyelash to fit my eyes. There's tons of eyelash brushes out there for free download and I think I saw some eye shadow brushes. There maybe even more make up brushes but I haven't looked much since we've moved onto another assignment but I will dive into it more over the holiday break.

I hope this helps send you on the right track but I'll try to put up a detailed eyelash and eye shadow tute over the next week since it was the easiest of the whole process.

So are you going to share how you did this? Did you do it manually or use Photoshop actions to help? I love Photoshop and use it for all my photo editing but haven't ever tried the makeup thing. I know how to whiten teeth and brighten the eyes and the such but I'd love to know how you added the mascara to your eyes.
