It is very empowering to take the identity of a warm and loving friend towards yourself. I think it cannot be emphasized too much. And you explain it so well!!

These taxes have been implemented in 40 countries already. They channel money from the wealthiest to those most in need, and those who can most benefit our future economy. And they slow the pace of trading, which can benefit small-scale investors, by taking trading out of the hands of computer-algorithms and putting it back in the hands of real people. There is also the added benefit of making the financial system more comprehensible. This may allow us to more quickly spot market-imbalances like those leading to the housing and financial crises in 2007. Will it yield enough money? I am not sure. But we should remember that higher education was virtually free for the Baby Boomer generation. Just ask a few college educated Baby Boomers about how much they paid per semester and you may be shocked by how little they paid, often in the low hundreds.

Theo Horesh - The Democratic Base is About to Erupt.

Americans pay roughly twice as much per person on health care as people in most major industrialized societies. And yet, the largest comparative study of quality of health care services, carried out by the World Health Organization in the mid-2000s, ranked the U.S. as 37th in quality of health care. The reason for this is because we are the only major industrialized country whose health care system is based on private for-profit insurance. The expenses of this system come from denial management, which eats up about 30 percent of health care costs in administration, which is largely focused on denying patients care. American pharmaceuticals are also vastly more expensive. Bernie's plan for changing this is simple. He would wage an 8.8 percent payroll tax on businesses, which are usually already paying for health care costs, and a 2.2 percent income tax. Since most businesses already pay health care costs, those that don't would lose and those that do already may benefit a lot by having to pay less. Since each American pays on average $7,200 in health care costs, the tax will mean that everyone who is not insured by an employer will come out better. Sixty percent of Americans support a single-payer system. And one study of doctors in the New England Journal of Medicine from the early 2000s showed that well over half of doctors would prefer a single payer, or Medicare for all, system. This may be a generational aspiration, but it is actually far more achievable than one might presume on first glance.

You may want to check out what Snopes has to say about it. The article convinced me it is a concocted list mainly because several respected news agencies had looked into the list and found the Clintons had nothing to do with these deaths. Perhaps you know more, though. http://www.snopes.com/politics/clintons/bodycount...

Theo Horesh - The Democratic Base is About to Erupt.

I think it is important that voting for Clinton be conditional. Sanders supporters should make it clear now that they will not vote for her if Sanders wins the pledged delegates and yet the superdelegates do not reverse their positions and support him. And they should make it clear that if she continues to lie about him, they will not vote for her either. If this is done well, it can result in a cleaner and more democratic primary process, which results in more Democrats coming out to vote in November. Just consider: If Sanders supporters allow Clinton to lie about their candidate without making believable threats back and he is the nominee, she may convince Latinos to stay home on election day. After all, she is telling voters that Sanders supporters the Minuteman militia of bigots guarding the border of Mexico. She has tried to paint him as a pro-gun rural, old white guy throughout the primary and this could keep black people home on election day. And all of her lies and attacks may keep Sanders supporters home on election. If she is well aware of the consequences of doing this, she may stop, and all Democrats will fair better. So while I understand your worries and appreciate your pragmatism, I think there is more to consider.
