Rana - I believe you understand everything what BLToolkit providing. I am new to BLToolkit. What are the most common steps to integrate BLkit to existing application (web or winform) and Generate Code. How subsonic does. I would be so grateful if you have any example and write up for it.

Rana - Where is the documentation? I am unable to take a start. I don't know where to start and which projects should I take it first to learn. I have downloaded source code but this is something you have everything on the tables but where is the desert and starting point. Please help me out, I am stuck here.

John - These ORMs come out with new patches & updgrades almost every weeks so it's a JOKE that the test hasn't been updated for OVER A YEAR. It is safe to say the test is OBSOLETE and CANNOT BE TRUSTED. Especially because the author "forgot" to add a full disclosure admitting that he is involved in developing in one of the ORMs that has above average scores in this tailored test.

Richard - Can someone explain to me why BLToolkit is extreme slow on first startup both ASP.NET and Winforms? Is there a way to speed things up? After the initialisation everthing goes pretty fast!

alexyakunin - Fully agree. Btw, I hardly admit they can even beat BLToolkit on query \\ materialization tests. Anyway, if someone will implement at least performance tests for any of these tools, we'll be glad to publish the results.

David - Dapper, Massive, PetaPoco are Micro-ORMs, NOT lightweight ORMs. certainly not "just as much as" Bltoolkit, as it would show on the Linq implementation Scorecard

Robert - Sorry. It seems that EF has been updated to EF4. Nevertheless lots of others (especially those that are very fast) are still missing.

Robert - These speed tests have become more or less obsolete. They're not updated to their latest version and lots of them are missing ie. EF4, Dapper, Massive, PetaPoco... Especially the last three are lightweight ORM tools (just as much as BLToolkit is) and would prove that speed can be astonishing as if doing it manually.

Vatsal Desai - Hey Robert, Thanks for your reply. I am also surprised why there is no much English support for this tool. It's really very nice tool. I also agree with you to NOT use this tool in high risk project because of less community support. Otherwise, I am continuing using this tool in small and low risk project(s) to understand this tool more... Thanks again... :)

Robert - Since I started using it (almost a year ago) I would like to point out that UNLESS YOU'RE RUSSIAN, I'd suggest you avoid it. I wouldn't exaggerate that much if I'd say that support and community is almost equal to ZERO. Even the most popular BLTookit forum (as they say) doesn't have an English interface (I'm not English but not Russian either) so it's next to impossible to actually have some intl support for this product. I must say that I'm very pleased with it's materialization speed, but that's just as much as I'm using it for even though I'm aware it can provide other things as well. But since there's no actual support on it, I wouldn't want to delve into uncharted territory on a high risk project. So. These days to have no actual English support for your product it's more like a suicide.

Vatsal Desai - Really very nice tool... I love this tool b'coz it's 1) Open Source 2) Light Weight 3) High Performance But at the same time there is very less community support... I have been using this tool from last 6 months but most of functionality I have to learn my self..of course, I found couple of solutions from google group for BLToolkit. Would be gr8 if anyone can give me link of community or forum for BLToolkit and if it's not someone (OR we) can think about it. Thanks...

alexyakunin - We're waiting for updates from some of participants. The code and test results in Google Code are actually already updated, see http://code.google.com/p/ormbattle/source/browse/... We've been using NH 3.1.0 GA there.
