Alex King, CEO of Crowd Favorite, and a founding developer of WordPress

Alex King is a veteran of the Silicon Valley boom days, relocated to Denver, CO in January 2004. Since he moved to Denver, he's been self-employed as an independent developer, working on his own projects and various contract gigs.

Alex has been doing web development since 1996. He spent several years designing and building web sites before interest in user interface design brought him into the software industry.

From 1998 through 2003 he worked for several enterprise software companies designing the user interface for web-based applications.

Besides his computer related interests, Alex keeps himself busy with a healthy collection of sports and activities including golf, volleyball, softball, guitar and photography.

Eric Marcoullier, CEO of Gnip, Co-founder of MyBlogLog

In March 2008 Eric Marcoullier founded Gnip.

Prior to Gnip, Eric Marcoullier founded MyBlogLog with Todd Sampson in January of 2005. The service went live in March 2005 and was acquired by Yahoo for an estimated $10 million in January 2007. He left Yahoo in July 2007.

Eric previously co-founded games and entertainment content portal IGN, where he also served as the Product Guy through its pre-IPO spinoff in 1999. IGN was purchased by News Corp. in 2005 for $650 million.

Between IGN and MyBlogLog, Eric made video games in a small town in Western Massachusetts. He advises a half-dozen companies including Zynga and Zemanta and mentors at TechStars and Ohio University’s games program. He spends his copious free time with his wife and two beautiful sons, pining for the days when he had time to play first-person shooters and Ultimate Frisbee.

Pete Sheinbaum, CEO & Founder of DailyCandy

Peter A. Sheinbaum is the CEO of DailyCandy, Inc. In 2000, DailyCandy hired Mr. Sheinbaum to assist with the launch and development of DailyCandy.com. In 2003, he was named COO of DailyCandy and in 2005 named CEO.

Prior to DailyCandy, Mr. Sheinbaum held the following positions: Director & CRM Practice Leader for Empower Solutions (ERP & CRM software consulting and implementation), COO of AlexBlake.com (retail e-commerce), and Manager of E-Commerce for E! Television Networks. Additionally, Mr. Sheinbaum has served on several boards and advisory committees including IdealBite.com, TravelPost.com (sold to Sidestep), and TotalBeauty.com as well as investing in, and mentoring, a variety of technology startups.

Mr. Sheinbaum holds a BA in Economics from Colgate University and an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA. Prior to graduate school he worked as a financial analyst and associate in both commercial banking (Chemical Securities) and private equity (Lehman Brothers), respectively. Tim Wolters, CTO of Collective Intellect

Mr. Wolters is a well known industry thought leader in the area of using statistical modeling to extract knowledge from unstructured data sources. His work pioneered the use of advanced analytical non-linear correlation models in building business applications. Mr. Wolters holds several patents in the areas of Business Intelligence (BI) and Business Activity Monitoring (BAM).

Prior to Collective Intellect, He was chief architect for BAM at webMethods, leading the technical architecture and product strategy for their BAM and Business Process Management (BPM) products. Mr. Wolters co-founded Dante Software, and was the inventor and patent author of its BAM neural network fingerprinting technology. Prior to Dante Software, he co-founded cc-genesis, an e-business application development and hosting provider of outsourced services. Mr. Wolters has more than twenty years experience in the software technology sector, working with a variety of start-ups and mid-market companies to invent, architect, and deliver successful solutions to the marketplace.
